About Caldera Arts: Caldera is a non-profit founded in 1996 as an arts and environmental immersion program in the mountains. The idea behind Caldera is to bring young people with limited opportunities together with talented creative professionals to make art and be in relationship with the natural world. For nearly 28 years, the power of creativity has transformed Caldera from a small summer program to a thriving year-round community enriching thousands of lives every year.
Project Goal: Caldera Arts is located on Blue Lake, a stunning piece of landscape that sits just west of Suttle Lake. Part of Caldera’s ability to fund programs year-round comes from a unique lodging experience they offer at Blue Lake. For our partner volunteer project, we will be aiding in trail and brush clean up, taking down tents, bed frames, and other furniture for the coming winter season. Alongside the clean up effort, Wanderlust will lead a short hike in this stunning area and we will cap of our time at Blue Lake with a well earned refreshment and snack!
