Think Wild has been a great partner of ours and we’re excited to help promote and support their upcoming project on the Crooked River!

Join Think Wild as they plant a diverse mix of native shrubs, grasses, and wildflowers that will provide food, shelter, and habitat for pollinators, birds, and other local wildlife.

The Crooked River Native Plant Stewardship Project is transforming a former gravel lot into a thriving native plant garden and outdoor learning space along the Crooked River. Through habitat restoration, community partnerships, and volunteer involvement, this project is creating a healthier river corridor while providing a place where people can connect with nature, learn about Central Oregon's native plants, and enjoy a restored community greenspace for years to come.

Think Wild will be planting September 21st–27th, and volunteers are welcome to join us for whichever day(s) work best with their schedule. Whether you can lend a hand for a few hours or join us for multiple days, every contribution helps bring this restoration project to life.

Wanderlust Tours will participate in the planting project on Thursday, September 24th, giving any volunteers that day the opportunity to learn about the history and importance of the Crooked River from our award-winning Naturalist Guides!

After the busy summer months, our mighty Cascade Lakes are in need of a little TLC! Join the Wanderlust Tours staff in picking up trash from these special places! Once we finish up with our afternoon of cleaning these precious bodies of water, we will celebrate with a complementary pint at Cascade Lakes Brewing Company!
