About
Shredder is an indoor ski and snowboard school aimed at helping kids get comfortable on the slopes, build confidence and have fun. In almost all sports, there is a fun, engaging on-ramp for kids to learn and ultimately excel. Shredder’s founders noticed that this on-ramp was lacking for skiing and snowboarding and sought to build one themselves, creating a fun, hands-on environment for kids to learn and grow! We are very excited to be partnering with Shredder to bring kids and families a day of fun and adventure.
About the partnership: The goal of our partnership is to create an opportunity for locals and travelers alike to ensure an active and engaging day for their kids when they do not have school. Our goal is to also provide parents an opportunity to A: tackle their work day without having to also juggle watching their kids and B: The opportunity to take part in a guided outdoor experience with their children, building memories that will last a lifetime.
Experience & Itinerary: Your child’s day will start off at Shredder, where they will meet new friends, receive expert instruction and have plenty of fun while learning and building confidence on the slopes. Next, they will enjoy a quick lunch at Shredder prior to kicking off their outdoor adventure. Wanderlust’s award-winning Naturalist Guides will pick up your kid’s at Shredders office and take them on an educational and immersive snowshoeing adventure. During our time splashing through the fresh powder, we will teach your kids about the geology and hydrology of the Cascade Mountains, follow animal tracks and have plenty of fun! This in-the-field learning experience will connect your kids with the movements of the natural world.
Parents are welcome to join their child for the Wanderlust Tour portion of the day! This is a great opportunity to get outside and connect with your kid through a fun, guided experience. Parents that join us will simply need to arrive at Shredder and 1:15pm and we will transport everyone up to the mountains in our Wanderlust vans.

My Notes:
The kids are dropped off at Shredder for the morning session. Then, the parents have an option. They can come back for the afternoon portion and ride with us/transfer car seats OR they can opt to have their child transported to the activity without them there (just like a rad camps etc), they would have to leave their car seat with you all at drop off and then we load it up into our van. Based on signups we may have to assign another guide, unless you want to join for the rest of the trip that day! I think we need at least 1 other adult in the van in addition to the guide/driver.
Add to Conf email - parents bring day pack to hold water, snacks (for those without parents attending, guide will have a day pack to carry water bottles and snacks. Specify water bottle should be leak proof so it can be stuffed in a guides pack

Transportation: Parents will drop their kids off at Shredder’s location. Wanderlust Tours will pick up kids (and any parents that join) at Shredder and transport everyone to our adventure destination. After the guided tour, Wanderlust will drop everyone off at Shredder.

Car Seats: Our vans are able to fit and secure all types of car seats. If you’re child requires a car seat, please bring that with you and we will install it in our van.

What to wear:
Shredder: Comfortable clothes - pants, long sleeves, regular socks.
Wanderlust: Please wear snow gear - winter boots, snow pants, jacket, hat, gloves, etc.
Daypack (optional)
Rental Gear: Wanderlust Tours has limited quantities of kid sized rental boots, snow pants, etc. If you need to rent any gear, please call us at (541) 389-8359.
Weather: Tours run rain or shine. With that said, if conditions at our snowshoe location are less than enjoyable, we will pivot our adventure to an immersive hiking tour where your kids will learn all about Central Oregon’s incredible geology and volcanic history!
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations prior to one week before the tour date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within a week are eligible for separate future credits from Shredder and Wanderlust Tours.
Group Minimums; The group minimum for the Shredder portion of the day is 2 kids. The group minimum for the Wanderlust portion of the day is 4 total guests (kids and parents).
