Inside Oregon’s only National Park, Crater Lake, our visit begins at the Pumice Desert, a remnant of Mt. Mazama’s tremendous blast. We’ll next ascend the north flank of the volcano (depending on weather, this could be on snowshoes) and arrive on the rim for incredible views down to Crater Lake. Several stops on the rim will give everyone great vantage points while the guide unfurls the geologic history. Wanderlust Tours will provide a wonderful picnic lunch under old-growth trees on the lake’s rim. We will travel the rest of the rim of Crater Lake by van before heading back to the Bend area. Custom departures available for group. Includes professional naturalist guide, lunch, National Park Entrance Fee and transportation. Tour length 8 hours.
This trip is a great for incentive or corporate entertainment trips. Begin your evening with a gourmet catered dinner under the trees next to the beach, complete with wine, appetizers, dessert and hot drinks. Having satiated the physical body, it’s time to fulfill the soul! As the sun sinks behind the Cascades, the canoes will be ready to launch and we’ll hit the water for an absolutely serene and stunning paddle. As we paddle out, the stars will be rising to illuminate the encroaching darkness.
