ABOUT
Adventure: Wanderlust Tours is excited to bring more access to the outdoors by partnering with AdvenChair to help those with mobility challenges get into the outdoors and explore beautiful areas that initially may not seem accessible. With the AdvenChair off-road wheelchair, we will enjoy the reward of stunning views and learn about the incredible history of Oregon’s only National Park!
Naturalist Guided Experience: Mt. Mazama’s eruptive history is extensive. Its cataclysmic blast 7,700 years ago created the incredible hole we now call Crater Lake! Its snow-melt water began filling the depression until an equilibrium was met eventually gifting Oregon with the United States’ deepest body of water. The views garnered from the volcano’s rim are simply breathtaking! Amidst the wealth of interpretation our guides will offer on this journey we’ll likely share how we as humans are the single greatest threat to this lake’s purity as well as being the intelligent and responsible stewards of its continued status of clarity and purity! From the rim of the Caldera, we will embark upon several hikes meant to connect you more deeply with this incredible place. The hike options range from short and sweet to long and steep! Your guide will be able to assess the desires of the group and choose their routes accordingly!

Crater Lake Road Closures, Weather Closures, etc.: Crater Lake National Park sees a wide variety of weather throughout the year such as snow, wind, rain, and sun. Road closures, trail closures, and construction are part of what it takes to provide access to this incredible park. It is always our goal to provide guests with as much adventure and access as we can during our tours. With that said, it is not always possible to access every area, trail, etc. due to closures. If there is a specific area you are hoping to see on tour, it is best to check for any closures Crater Lake’s website or to call our office at (541) 389-8359.
