TITLE: Office Assistant

POSITION: 24-28 hours/week, Seasonal. Approximately May 16 - October 31

1:00 PM - 8:00 PM June - July 14
12:30 PM - 7:30 PM July 15 - August 14
12:00 PM - 7:00 PM August 15 - September 4
Thursday through Sunday. (Monday - Wednesday off)
Sundays: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

WAGE: Hourly

JOB SUMMARY: The Office Assistant will oversee many functions of office operations, including phone reservations, guest confirmations, database input, guide availability, guest and resort relations. They will also maintain statistical information, assists with the merchandise and sales, and respond to all requests for information, brochures, and gift certificates.

  • Required computer skills: Word, Excel, Email (Thunderbird), Google Calendar. Bonus skills: proficiency with booking platforms, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Social Media, and Squarespace

  • Love and knowledge of the outdoors, especially familiar with Central Oregon's lakes, rivers, caves, trails, desert region etc.

  • Flexibility with hours/days


  • Take reservations and schedule tours

  • Offer professional customer relations skills and problem-solving in dealing with cancellations, upholding the cancellation policy and other issues

  • Organize all merchandise, duties may also include helping with tracking inventory, keeping sales boxes stocked and neat

  • Communicate with staff regarding tour schedules, reservations, guide schedules and guest needs so that appropriate action can be taken in a timely manner

  • Help clean office as cleaning schedule dictates and as needed

  • Initiate self-directed tasks and projects

  • Work with resorts and hotels to help their guests experience a Wanderlust Tour and provide the highest quality customer service in helping guests to enjoy the area by recommending lodging, dining and activities

  • Assist Sales, Office, and Marketing Managers with delegated tasks
