Join one of Central Oregon’s quintessential outdoor adventure companies as our Marketing ans Sales Specialist. This is a key role on our team that serves as the “face of Wanderlust”. We are looking to have someone join our team by late April.
MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
Ensure we are a known brand in our community by building relationships with key industry partners at resorts, breweries, etc.
Design, distribute, and evaluate advertising opportunities.
Manage booking through third parties. Create and maintain marketing strategy* and ensure we are staying up to date in effective ways to engage consumers and drive reservations.
Hands-on management of digital marketing; Wanderlust website, Google Analytics management, all social media platforms including Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter, etc.
Produce valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups, including photography assets.
Create marketing budget; measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight, and assess against goals.
Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels - content creation, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis, and more. * Plans company events such as all staff trips.
Wanderlust Tours is a small, nimble organization with an “all hands on deck” work team. This role will work primarily in our Bend storefront and will often be found answering the phone, booking reservations for tours and more…
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Minimum 2 years general marketing experience that includes digital marketing with some traditional print/brochure skills.
Top notch relationship building capabilities; you enjoy reaching out to new people and making connections.
Is organized and dependable, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. This role requires high level writing skill for engaging content that will move our audience to book a tour.
High level of attention to detail; all content you put into the world needs to be free from any errors.
Must be able to prioritize and effectively manage several projects concurrently.
Exhibits sound judgement and problem solving abilities. Can create and maintain a budget, keeping in mind that Wanderlust operates on a small marketing budget.
Ability to connect and maintain relationships with lodging, brewery, and business partners.
Can effectively work in the following programs and platforms: Photoshop, Illustrator, Social Media, Google Analytics, Squarespace (or similar website building and management), Word, Excel, Email, Google Calendar,
Love and knowledge of the outdoors, especially familiar with Central Oregon's lakes, rivers, caves, trails, desert region etc.
Strategic thinker with a high degree of originality and creative flair.
Professional demeanor and appearance with excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

Wanderlust Tours exists to vibrantly share the natural and cultural history of the Central Oregon region to small groups of interested guests while touring via canoeing, kayaking, caving, volcano tours, snowshoeing, hiking and nature-based sightseeing.
