Deschutes River Kayak Tours: EXPERIENCE BEND’S ICONIC RIVER!
ABOUT THE TOUR
Slightly faster than canoes, our sit-on-top kayaks are a great way to explore the Deschutes River in late spring and early fall. As you paddle, watch out for the bald eagles, native rainbow trout, and mink cavort that call the Deschutes River their home. Take in the aspen groves and expansive flows of lava rock, which provide a stunning backdrop to your journey. Our professional naturalist guides will instruct everyone on kayaking techniques and lead the group down the river while sharing award-winning interpretation of the area’s natural and cultural history.
The stretches of the Deschutes River we kayak are devoid of rapids, and provide a peaceful paddling experience for all ability levels. Even if you’ve paddled the Deschutes River before, this is a completely different part of the river— and with a professional naturalist guide, you’ll see the Deschutes from a completely new perspective!
