"I had a very good time canoeing! I had never been canoeing before, and I felt like my guide was so helpful that I had been canoeing my whole life! I had a great experience and I will definitely try to do this again. Thank you." Katie (the 11-year-old)

Journey into the mighty Cascade Range to paddle the glassy waters of a spectacular mountain lake. As the only guided tours available on the Cascade Lakes, Wanderlust Tours' renowned guides will highlight tucked-away spots on these beautiful lakes that you may never find by going on your own - be sure to watch for otter, mink, osprey and eagles, and bring a camera for the best mountain views in Central Oregon.

We spend 2 1/4 hours on the water for relaxation and soaking in the beauty – nearly 2 times more than other local river trips! Wear your swimsuit for a refreshing dip!

You’ll see parts of these large lakes that you can only see by canoe - paddling into the secluded fingers and coves created by the basaltic lava flows of Mt. Bachelor. Surrounded by the Three Sisters and Broken Top mountains, canoeing provides the ultimate experience in this area!

"I wouldn’t change a thing! Very good with young kids and novice canoers
Thanks!"
Bill, Vancouver, WA

During the spring, as the mountain lakes are still melting, the Deschutes River is a wonderful flat-water canoe experience. The upper Deschutes is placid and a prime place to spot all the returning spring bird life. We’ll also keep our eyes open for bald eagles, beaver lodges, native rainbow trout, and mink as we roll down the river. The headwaters of Spring River prove to be just that, ancient well springs that bubble up out of the earth, having descended from high in the Cascades. This is relaxation at its best!

Great for small children too! Since we canoe solely on flat, serene water surfaces, we take young children including babies and toddlers as they are able to sit on the floor of the canoe right at the parents’ feet.

Children 8 and older are welcome to sit in paddling seats and help power the canoe with you! Life jackets are provided and required to be worn by everyone.
