BEND, Ore. – Wanderlust Tours’ August series of Moonlight Canoe Tours is coming up during the evenings surrounding the full moon on August 20-26, 2010, each night from 8 p.m. to midnight. 

        Brews and Views beer tasting canoe tours are scheduled for every Wednesday and Sunday afternoon at 1:30 pm, and Starlight Canoe Tours, different from Moonlight Tours, are available on a nightly basis at 8 p.m. throughout the summer and fall.  

        Moonlight Canoe Tours, which take participants paddling on a mountain lake under the light of the full moon, includes professional naturalist guides, transportation, canoe equipment/instruction, hot drinks and desserts baked locally by Sparrow Bakery.  Kids 8 and older are welcome on Moonlight Canoe tours. 

        Brews and Views Tours are Wanderlust Tours’ Cascade Lakes Canoe Tours with the added fun of a beer tasting event!  Paddle the water of a pristine mountain lake with a naturalist guide and taste and learn about various beers from Cascade Lakes Brewing Company.  Includes transportation, canoe equipment/instruction, guides, and various beer samples on the lakeshore.  All ages are welcome with root beer for the kids.

        Starlight Canoe Tours take place at night in the remoteness of the Cascade Range while the stars punctuate the darkness providing illumination on the lake’s surface.  With Wanderlust Tours’ naturalist guides, paddle the waters, gaze for shooting stars and listen to the hush of the nighttime forest.   Dessert and hot drinks will be served on the lakeshore. Includes transportation, canoe equipment/instruction, guides, dessert and hot drinks.  Kids 8 and older are welcome on Starlight Canoe tours. 

        Half-day Canoe and Kayak Trips, Cave Tours, Volcano Tours and GPS Eco-Challenge trips are available daily at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  

        All tours, guided by local naturalist guides who will share vibrant natural and cultural history interpretation specific to each area visited, include transportation, instruction, equipment and all food and drinks.  Tours range from $44-$65 per person, with children’s rates available.

        Wanderlust Tours, specializing since 1993 in taking small groups into remote natural areas while maintaining a low impact on the environment, was awarded the Oregon State University Austin Excellence in Family Business Award in 2007.
