WANDERLUST TOURS SEES INCREASE IN JUNE BUSINESS

   BEND, Ore. – Wanderlust Tours experienced an 14% increase in its half-day and evening naturalist guided tours, including canoeing, kayaking, cave tours, volcano tours and GPS eco-challenges during June 2010 compared to June 2009.                                  “We saw an increase of large family groups and small corporate retreats during June.  It feels like folks are beginning to make travel plans with more economic confidence in recent days,” said David Nissen, Wanderlust Tours president.                          Wanderlust Tours is in its 17th season in Bend and has found success with new and repeat clients participating in new offerings each year.  Within the last five years, Wanderlust has pioneered Brews and Views beer tasting trips, GPS Eco-Challenges, and Starlight Canoe Tours.           Half-day Canoe and Kayak Trips, Cave Tours, Volcano Tours and GPS Eco-Challenge trips are available daily at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  Evening Moonlight and Starlight Canoe Tours are available from 8 pm to midnight.  Tours range from $44-$65 per person, with children’s rates available.           Wanderlust Tours, specializing since 1993 in taking small groups into remote natural areas while maintaining a low impact on the environment, was awarded the Oregon State University Austin Excellence in Family Business Award in 2007.           For information and reservations, call (541) 389-8359 or (800) 962-2862 from outside Central Oregon, or go to Wanderlust’s web site at www.wanderlusttours.com.
