Half-day Snowshoe Tours invite snowshoers off trail and away from other people into the snowy winter wonderland of the Cascade Mountains.  Experienced naturalist guides bring the area alive with vibrant interpretation along the way and snow play for all ages. Trips are customized for all adventure desires.  Participants have the opportunity to run down or leap off snow-covered lava flows and get “air” on snowshoes or explore on flatter areas – all on the same trip.  The tour cost is $44-$49 per person and includes professional guide, transportation, permit, snowshoes, instruction and hot chocolate with marshmallows. 

Desert Cave Tours are led in small groups donning helmets and headlamps through caves located in the desert east of Bend.  Wanderlust Tours guides provide in-depth interpretation on the formation of the lava tubes, the wildlife habitat inside the caves and the many uses of the caves over time from native American dwellings to cold storage for early Bend residents.   Through its Cave Tours, Wanderlust Tours hopes to increase the awareness and respect of the delicate ecosystems of Central Oregon’s lava tubes. Cave Tours are a good option for any weather conditions. The tour cost is $44-$49 per person and includes professional guide, transportation, helmets and headlamps. 

Bonfire on the Snow participants embark on a short snowshoe tour with a Wanderlust Tours naturalist guide to a quiet spot in the snowy forest to bask at a glowing bonfire in the middle of an amphitheater hand carved into the deep snow.  In small groups, participants relax around the fire enjoying local bakery desserts and hot drinks while guides share fun facts about the forest, its animal life and the night sky.   The event cost is $75 per person and includes professional guide, transportation, permit, snowshoes, instruction, hot drinks and desserts. 

Snowshoe Tours pick up in Bend and Sunriver; Cave Tours pick up in Bend.  Children 8 years and older are welcome on Snowshoe Tours, 5 years and older on Cave Tours.   No experience is necessary for any of the tours.
