Kayak from Dillon Falls and explore the lifewater of the Deschutes

Deschutes River Kayak Tours

Paddle in silvery ribbon that carves Bend’s western boundary.

Slightly faster than canoes, our sit-on-top kayaks are a great way to explore the Deschutes River in late spring and early fall. Kayaking provides a dramatic means to take in the best of this area. Bald eagles, native rainbow trout, and mink cavort as we roll down the river. The aspen groves and impressive lava flows provide spectacular backdrops to our journey. Our guides will instruct everyone on kayaking techniques and lead the group down the river while sharing the natural and cultural history. The stretches of the Deschutes River that we kayak are devoid of any rapids and provide a placid and peaceful paddling experience for all ability levels. Note: Even if groups have kayaked the Deschutes on their own before, this is a completely different part of the river providing a truly fabulous experience with a Wanderlust guide!
